Meet the Founder

Dr. Elena Wren finished her residency at Oregon Health & Science University, then spent four years at a larger Tampa dermatology group before opening Bayshore in 2019. The short version of why: she kept seeing patients for eight minutes at a time, handing them a treatment plan, and never finding out if it actually worked.
Bayshore started as an experiment in doing the opposite. Fewer patients per day, longer visits, and a habit of actually checking back in. She's board-certified through the American Board of Dermatology and still spends part of most weeks reading new research, mostly because she says dermatology changes faster than people expect.
She lives in Tampa with her husband and an aging golden retriever named Baxter, who has strong opinions about the waiting room couch.
